"Good mix of puzzles - I do the small ones on the train and the large ones at lunch. The clues are tough, and its giving my brain a much needed workout. Highly recommend."

Much better than I thought it would be!

"I purchased this Crosswords game on a whim, thinking it would be interesting. Turns out that it is one of my favorite games/puzzles. It is fun, addicting, and helpful. The HINT feature is great and handy, and only needs some discipline if you want it to be challenging. It is a great addition to my PDA."

Looking for something like this for a long time

"I am very glad to see the advent of this crossword puzzle game. I think tough thinking word games are cool and although I am not a big crossword worker, I have always wanted to improve in the area. I am finding a lot of enjoyment with this game (setting on the 15X15 size). Eventually, I will work on the two larger sizes. I think it has improved both my speed in solving puzzles and my concentration. I can recommend it to anyone who is interested in a challenging and highly self entertaining game."

Pros and cons of Crosswords Crazy! app for iPhone and iPad

Crosswords Crazy! app good for

I purchased this game last week, hoping it would be worthwhile. Its now one of my favorite games. The different sized crosswords are great and I can save big, difficult puzzles and work one smaller ones during breaks. The hint feature is great as well. It takes WILL not to use it! I highly recommend Crosswords Crazy.
This is a very good crossword app with a LOT of puzzles. A like the different sized puzzles that you can choose from. I havent seen that in a lot of other crossword programs. One feature that would be nice would be to have the clue lists on screen with the puzzle at the same time. But thats a minor quibble. Great App!
Ive been playing this app for months. There is a HUGE amount of crossword puzzles. The difficultly level of the puzzles is variable, and I wish there was a way in the app to select it. But, not a big deal. The controls in the game are perfect. It doesnt a bunch of useless features that will never be needed. All in all a great app that stays in my phone!
Ive have been playing this app for a couple of months now. Its very easy to use and has a HUGE amount of crossword puzzles. For shear replayability it cannot be beat.

Some bad moments

I purchased this program (wish they had a try for free version - may not have purchased). Options Id like to suggest: --Orientation of puzzle - able to turn iPod on side for larger screen view --when word is entered moves to next clue --Option to display incorrect letters as well as correct answer --Clues and answers at times dont seem to make sense --Not much difference in clue/answers from puzzle to puzzle --Levels beginner-normal-advanced Thank you for your attention
I totally agree with everything the first reviewer said...my biggest beef is not jumping automatically to the next clue...if there was a free one to try I wouldnt have bought it. Pretty disappointed...
May be good for novices, but I would say these are some of the worst puzzles I have ever played. Clues are too easy and used over and over again in the different puzzles. Many solutions are merely abbreviations of the provided clue. Basically no solutions longer than 6 letters. The interface is pretty good, though it would be nice to be able to scroll from one clue to the next instead of having to drag the board around. Until the quality of puzzles improves (vastly), I cant reccomend this to anyone.
These puzzles are awful. They often tell you the answer in the clue, they dont follow the standard way that clues work. Normally you are to give a synonym of the clue or a word that can be defined by the clue. These puzzles require other examples of what is given in the clue. The same answer are often repeated within a puzzle. Its just awful and Im deleting it
Controls arent the best, but easy to figure out and dont get in the way. Unfortunately thats the best that can be said. The puzzles are atrocious...bad clues, poor spelling and some of the most ridiculous clue/solution combinations Ive ever encountered. Those idiot level puzzle rags at the supermarket are 100% more difficult and far more logical (Clue: Dad, 5 letters...solution: daddy; Clue: Captain, 4 letters...solution: capt. Swear. To. God.). I am so angry that I wasted $4 on this...the cheaper option isnt cheaper than the $10 app I should have bought.
These are the worst crossword puzzles I have ever seen. The clues are illogical- sometimes they indicate a lengthened or abbreviated version of the word (north northwest=nnw), and there is no real thinking needed. Many of the words are spelled incorrectly, but then there are words that indicate the creator actually has a sizable vocabulary. Who ever is making these puzzles is not paying attention to what he or she is doing. It is a total waste of $4, and I wish I could get my money back.
